Realization of your production ideas
Demcon industrial systems takes a structured design approach and as system thinker develops an integrated concept in close collaboration with the customer. We have all the disciplines needed in-house to execute designs that meet the required specifications. With our extensive knowledge of application areas and considerable experience in various sectors, we know how to find the right solutions to a wide range of design problems. We help production companies and OEMs in the manufacturing industry improve their production technology.
Based on the following innovation model, we will be happy to tell you how we work.
The possibilities in production technology have been developing rapidly for many years. Solutions that were barely feasible in the past can now be implemented fast and affordably. We understand that it can be difficult for you to keep pace with all the new developments.
Demcon industrial systems can help to concretise your vision or idea for the future and, as an experienced independent party, develop it into a tangible system. Often this starts with a no-obligation consultation in your office with one of our experienced business developers. During this discussion, we outline your requirements and assess whether there is a match to develop a project. We look for a solution that balances the technical feasibility and the returns on investment.
To achieve a good integral solution, it is important to draw up clear (technical) wishes and requirements. Both parties are then forced to define the essential starting-points , it prevents any ambiguity and ensures that the ultimate result is future proof. Demcon industrial systems can help you convert your wishes and requirements into clear and achievable (technical) specifications.
As system thinkers, we like to look at the complete picture and develop an integrated concept in close collaboration with you. Even if your needs have not yet been fully defined, we can efficiently meet your requirements with off-the-shelf partial solutions and creative new ideas. In doing so, we use modern and scalable principles for automation which will keep pace with your future sales and make the required investments accessible.
After completing the specification & concept phase, a fully developed concept emerges which is largely in 3D CAD and whose performance is clearly described. Usually, this is an important step in the project, which can be shared with all the interested parties.
Occasionally, the chosen concept still contains a degree of technical uncertainty at functional level. If that is the case, we propose carrying out a proof of principle for a sub-functionality to reduce the technical risk at an early stage in the project. This will prevent technical problems at the end of the project.
After completing the product specification & concept phase, the important concept-forming work has been done and all the principles are established for the planned system development.
This is the moment when a cost estimate can be drawn up and on request, the remaining part of the project can beoffered for a fixed price.
In this phase, the concept is further detailed so that the components and parts can be ordered. Besides considering the hardware, at this stage of the project it is important to focus on the operating and software components to achieve an operational result.
Once all the required components and parts have been received, the assembly of the system can be started in our own workplace. If necessary, we also have a conditioned clean room where we can assemble systems for the production of medical devices, for example.
The system is integrated, i.e. the mechanics, electronics and software are connected to each other. Then the system is checked to ensure that it is safe and that all the systems and subsystems can communicate with each other.
Testing and validating are an important and often underestimated part of a project. Usually, the developed system still needs to be optimised to achieve the best possible performance. At the end of the test period, an acceptance test (FAT, Factory Acceptance Test) often takes place. By doing this test, we can show you as our customer that the earlier agreed specification has been met.
After the factory acceptance test, the system is transported to your location. If necessary, an SAT (Site Acceptance Test) can also be conducted here.
For your production, it is important that the delivered machine not only meets your expectations during the acceptance test, but also in the years to come. Ultimately, the manufacturing industry is about uptime and productivity of your capital. Correct and timely maintenance are key here. By entering a maintenance contract, we can perform preventive and in some cases even predictive maintenance on the system we have delivered to prevent any unplanned downtime.
You can join us in the innovation tunnel at any time. However, we excel at the start of a project. That’s when we can create most value for our customers because this is when the solution can still be shaped.
